Heatter-Quigley Productions

Heatter-Quigley Productions is an American television production company that was launched in 1960 by two former television writers Merrill Heatter and Bob Quigley. In 1966, they've created the famous game show The Hollywood Squares and was sold to Filmways. In 1982, Quigley decided to retire and end his partnership with Merrill Heatter, just before Filmways was bought by Orion Pictures. Heatter continued going solo and producing new game shows such as: Battlestars, All-Star Blitz, and the 80s versions of Hollywood Squares and High Rollers. In 1998, Heatter sold the worldwide rights to his solo-developed game shows to King World. Today however, MGM Television and Sony Pictures Television has the domestic rights, since the majority of those games were distributed by Orion Television.
