Hawkbit


 
 

Hawkbit is a flower which resembles Dandelion. There are several species of Hawkbit belonging to the genus Leontodon and the family Compositae. Originally native to Europe and Asia they are now distributed worldwide.

In medieval times it was believed that hawks ate the plant to improve their eyesight, hence the name.
