Hasinai


 
 

The Hasinai (Has?:nay in Caddo) were a confederation of Caddo-speaking Native Americans. They were known as the Tejas by Spanish explorers, being the plural Spanish version of the Caddo word t?ysha, "friend". This name was later given to the state of Texas.
