Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (film)

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is the as-yet unreleased (due out in 2007) movie based on J.K. Rowling's fifth book in the Harry Potter series, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. It will be directed by David Yates. The screenwriter will be Michael Goldenberg, not Steve Kloves (who wrote the screenplays for the first four films).

While spending the summer at the Dursleys, Harry Potter is haunted by dreams about Lord Voldemort and he and his cousin, Dudley Dursley, are attacked by two Dementors. Harry is put on trial by the Ministry of Magic and finds out about a secret organization, the Order of the Phoenix. Back at school, the Ministry of Magic does not believe Voldemort has come back to power and does not want Dumbledore telling his students about Voldemort. They decide to make Dolores Umbridge a teacher, whom most students hate. She eventually becomes High Inquisitor and later headmistress of Hogwarts. Harry continues to have dreams about Voldemort. One of these dreams shows the Department of Mysteries. This leads Harry and some of his friends to the Department of Mysteries, where they are confronted by Voldemort and his Death Eaters...
