Hardcastle & McCormick was an action show starring Brian Keith & Daniel Hugh Kelly. It aired from 1983-1986 on ABC. Mike Post and Pete Carpenter wrote the theme song.

The show centred around two men: a judge named Milton C. Hardcastle, and an ex-con man/race car driver named Mark "Skid" McCormick. Milton was a tough but honest judge who retired after sentencing future partner Mark, who had been sent to Milton's court after being arrested. The two would eventually team up to tackle 200 cases that Milton had thrown out owing to technicalities or because he knew the offenders were likely to reoffend, and with the help of Mark he would bust them and arrest them the right way.
