Happiest Homecoming on Earth

The Happiest Homecoming on Earth is the eighteen-month-long celebration (held through 2005 and 2006) of the fiftieth anniversary of the Disneyland theme park, which opened on July 17, 1955. At other Disney parks outside Disneyland Resort, this event is known as the Happiest Celebration on Earth.

Special events are taking place at all Disney parks around the world to commemorate the anniversary:

• Walt Disney World Resort — Lake Buena Vista, Florida, USA
• Tokyo Disney Resort — Urayasu, Japan
• Disneyland Resort Paris — Marne-la-Vallee, France
• Hong Kong Disneyland Resort — Hong Kong

Despite the event being in celebration of Disneyland's fiftieth anniversary, the majority of events celebrating it are taking place at the other resorts.
