Hans Conried

Hans Georg Conried, Jr. (April 15, 1917 - January 5, 1982) was a comic character actor and voice actor born in Baltimore, Maryland of Jewish descent.

His inimitable growl and impeccable diction were perfectly suited for portraying comic villains and other mock-sinister or cranky types.

• Mr. Jenkins in episode "Redecorating" of I Love Lucy (1952)
• Percy Livermore in episode "Lucy Hires an English Tutor" of I Love Lucy (1952)
• The Twonky (1953) (an unremarkable film, but notable for featuring him in a leading role)
• The 5,000 Fingers of Dr. T (also 1953) (his most important leading role)
• Uncle Tonoose on The Danny Thomas Show (aka Make Room for (Grand)Daddy) (1958-1964, 1970-1971)
• Host of Fractured Flickers (1963)
