Haddington, East Lothian
Haddington is a burgh in East Lothian. It was the centre of the agricultural revolution in Scotland, and is also known as the birthplace of John Knox. Notable buildings in the town include Haddington Town House, Mitchell's Close, Lennoxlove House and St Mary's Church, where Thomas Carlyle's wife is buried.
