Haar

There are several meanings of Haar. It is

• a municipality near Munich, Germany, located at {{coor dms|48|6|30|N|11|44|0|E|}}. As of 2004 it has a population of 19,643. (see Haar bei München)
• a hungarian mathematician named Alfred Haar (1885 - 1933). He has the Haar wavelet, and a set-theoretic measure, the Haar measure, named after him.
• Haar-like features (so called because they are computed similar to the coefficients in Haar wavelet transforms).
