Groznyj Grad

Groznyj Grad is the massive fortress constructed high in the fictional region of Tselinoyarsk by Colonel Volgin in the Konami video game '. The fortress' construction was funded by the Philosopher's Legacy. During the course of the game, Naked Snake must infiltrate this fortress twice in order to complete his mission. The heart of the fortress is the weapons lab, which is divided into three wings: The east wing which houses the research facilities, the main wing where the weapons are assembled and the west wing which is connected via a passageway to the main building. Groznyj Grad also has an underground vault which contains the microfilm in which the location of the Philosopher's Legacy are disclosed. Groznyj Grad is eventually obliterated when The Boss fires a Davy Crockett nuclear weapon at it.
