Group W
Group W was a subdivision of Westinghouse Electric Corporation. Also known as Westinghouse Broadcasting Company, the company handled Westinghouse's television and radio operations, owning several stations across the United States and distributing television shows for syndication. They owned stations from various networks, until 1995, when they entered an agreement with CBS prior to merging with CBS. Network swaps took place in several markets due to this agreement. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
