Groton School

Groton School is a private Episcopal boarding school located in Groton, Massachusetts. Often known as the "bastion of the elite", its student body of about 350 covers the eighth (IInd Form) through twelfth grades (VIth Form). The academic environment is very rigorous and Groton students regularly compete for positions at Ivy League and comparable universities.

Students

While a relatively small school, the endowment allows for a variety of extracurricular activities and to much personal attention for each student. In addition, financial aid is provided to 30% of students. In 2004, the middle 50% of Groton students earn SAT's between 1270 and 1470. Highly selective in terms of admissions, Groton students go on to attend many of the most selective colleges in the country. Between 2000 and 2004, Groton graduates attended the following colleges most frequently (in order): Harvard, Princeton, Brown, Georgetown, Middlebury, Trinity, University of Virginia, Vanderbilt, Yale, and Stanford.
