Greater Merseyside
Greater Merseyside is an informal term for a sub-region of North West England including Merseyside, Halton, West Lancashire, Ellesmere Port and Neston. This corresponds to the original proposal for Merseyside and the River Mersey or Liverpool's hinterland.
