Grant Mitchell is a fictional character in the British soap opera EastEnders. He is played by Ross Kemp.

Grant had romanced with Sharon Watts, after buying the Queen Vic, Sharon was impressed and they married in the December of 1991.

But months later the couple began rowing. Grant wanted a wife who behaved like one, Sharon didn't. He also wanted a baby but Sharon didn't. She found herself confiding in Grant's brother, Phil. This marked the beginning of their affair, and Grant's thuggish behaviour only brought them closer. He bullied Sharon and her friends; he smashed up the Vic and later, torched it for an insurance job unaware that Sharon was inside.

When Grant learnt of the affair between his wife and his brother, he put Phil in intensive care after laying into him in the Arches.

Grant and Sharon divorced and later on, he began a relationship with Tiffany Raymond. She later discovered that she was pregnant, at the same time, Grant was committing adultery with Lorraine Wicks.

In 1997, Grant became a father to a baby girl who Tiffany named Courtney, but he was still having an affair with Lorraine.

Grant ended up hitting his mother, Peggy and ended up leaving for Greece for a while. When he returned he set his eyes on Louise, Tiffany's mother and ended up kissing her. Tiffany, who had been away, returned announcing she wanted a divorce. This resulted in Grant having sex with her mother, Louise.

Tiffany learnt of the affair and started packing to leave Walford, unbeknown to Louise or Grant. She returned to the Queen Vic and confronted Grant, it resulted in her falling down the stairs and being hospitalised with a bloodclot to the brain.

Tiffany recovered, and told Grant that she was going to let the police believe that he had pushed her down the stairs. Grant was arrested on boxing day for attempted murder, then released on bail. Tiffany showed up at the Queen Vic and gloated, she told him that she was leaving with Courtney.

She ended up struggling with Grant outside the Queen Vic, he managed to get Courtney and began to walk off with her, a distraught Tiffany began to chase after him, only to slip on the frosted road infront of Frank Butcher's car. A helpless crowd watched as she died on the scene.

Grant found himself at a loose end after the death of Tiffany, he ended up sleeping with his brother?s wife ? Kathy ? perhaps in revenge for Sharongate. Phil had found out and confronted Grant when they were behind the wheel of a speeding getaway car. Phil started shooting at the dashboard resulting in Grant losing control of the car and crashing into the River Thames.

They both managed to escape, and Grant was last seen at the airport, he is now presumed to live with his daughter in Rio di Janeiro.
