Grand Union Canal
The Grand Union Canal is a canal in England and part of the British canal system. The main line of the waterway connects the two largest cities in England, London and Birmingham and stretches for 217 km (135 miles) and has 160 locks. The canal also has arms to places including Leicester, Slough, Aylesbury, Wendover and Northampton.

The Grand Union Canal was also the original name for part of what is now part of the Leicester Line of the modern Grand Union: this latter is now generally referred to as the Old Grand Union Canal where it is necessary to avoid ambiguity.
