Grambling State University


 

Grambling State University is a historically black university located in Grambling, Louisiana. Founded in 1901, Grambling State was originally known as the Colored Industrial and Agricultural School. The school's name changed to Lincoln Parish Training School in 1918 and Louisiana Negro Normal and Industrial Institute in 1928. The school became Grambling College in 1946 and gained university status in 1974.
