GN'R lies
GN'R Lies was Guns N' Roses' second major-label album, released in 1988. It consisted of 8 tracks, the first four being a re-release of GN'R's EP "Live ?!*@ Like a Suicide", including an edgy cover of Aerosmith's "Mama Kin". The latter four were acoustics: the very popular track "Patience", a straight-forward original song, an acoustic version of an Appetite for Destruction song, and a much more controversial Axl Rose composition, featuring him on guitar as well as vocals, in which he ranted against blacks, gays, and immigrants, among others. The album was intended to appease the demand for Guns N' Roses material which had spread like a wildfire. On the shoulders of the track "Patience", the album sold very well.
