Gitanos
The Gitanos is the name of the Roma people that live in Spain. In southern France they are known as Gitans or more generally Tziganes (includes the other French Roma). The name comes from Egiptianos (Egyptians), because in past centuries was thought their origins was in the country of Egypt. Today, however, it's generally considered that their origin is the region of India.
