Ginger Alden

Ginger Alden (born November 13, 1958 in Memphis, Tennessee) is an American actress who is best known as the last girlfriend of Elvis Presley.

Ginger Alden was eighteen years old when she and her older sister Terry, the then Miss Tennessee beauty pageant winner, were first introduced to Presley. Presley's more than four year relationship with Linda Thompson had just ended when he and Ginger Alden became involved. During his final televised performance in 1977, he introduced her to a national audience as his girlfriend.

For years, Presley stayed up all night and slept during the day. As such, Alden was asleep in his bed at Graceland in the early afternoon of August 16, 1977 when she woke up to find his lifeless body in the bathroom ensuite. His death brought her a lot of publicity and in 1980 she appeared in the film, "Living Legend: The King of Rock and Roll." However, over the years she has refrained from excessive capitalizing of their relationship. During the 1986-87 season, she and Teri Hatcher were signed as regular cast members on the daytime soap opera, Capitol.
