Gil Chesterton
Gil Chesterton is a fictional character played by Edward Hibbert in the sitcom Frasier. A pompous restaurant critic who hosts Restaurant Beat on the KACL radio station, Gil is apparently married to Deb, whom his colleagues thought was his cat since they had never seen Deb. Gil's sexuality has been debated many times on the show by other characters and is a running joke on the show. The last-ever episode appeared to confirm him to have homosexual leanings, as when Noel suggsts that the radio station's new owner will be a 'tight-ass', Gil replies "yes, but that doesn't make up for it". He used to serve in the army and has his taste buds insured.

The character is named after Frasier producer Christopher Lloyd's high school English teacher. The real Gil Chesterton is said to be thrilled with the tribute.
