Gettysburg College is a private four-year liberal arts college of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, founded in 1832, in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, adjacent to the famous battlefield. Its athletic teams are nicknamed the Bullets. Gettysburg College has an enrollment of slightly over 2,500 students, the majority of whom come from the nearby states of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, Connecticut, and New York.
