Gavin McGregor Rossdale (b. October 30,1967) was the lead singer and guitarist of the British rock group Bush.

Gavin was born in Kilburn, London, England, to parents Barbara, who was born in Scotland, and Douglas Rossdale, who is of Russian Jewish descent. He has a younger sister Soraya (who taught him how to play the guitar) and an older sister, Lorraine. His father, a doctor, and mother divorced when he was eleven years old. He went to Westminster School.

He met Nigel Pulsford in 1992, and together they formed Bush soon after.

On September 14, 2002, Gavin married Gwen Stefani, who at the time was the lead vocalist of the pop band No Doubt.

Other members of Bush include Dave Parsons (bass), Robin Goodridge (drums), Sacha Putnam (keyboards), and Chris Traynor (lead guitarist). Nigel Pulsford was the original lead guitarist for the band, but he left in early 2002 to enjoy life with his wife and two children; Traynor was his replacement.

The band's first album, "Sixteen Stone," had such hits as "Everything Zen," "Little Things," and "Glycerine." Since its formation in 1992, Bush has released four more albums: "Razorblade Suitcase," "Deconstructed," "The Science of Things," and "Golden State."
