Gavin Henson
Gavin Lloyd Henson (born February 1, 1982 in Bridgend) is a Welsh Rugby Union player, currently of the Ospreys region. He came to wider notice in 2004, with a series of excellent performances in Wales' Autumn Internationals against New Zealand and South Africa. He was man of the match in the Wales victory over the England in the Six Nations Championship on 5 February 2005. He was the International Rugby Board's "Young Player Of The Year" in 2001, and has been linked romantically with singer Charlotte Church. He played rugby for his school Brynteg Comprehensive in Bridgend South Wales.

Gavin Henson has played in a variety of positions for both club and country, notably at fly-half, fullback and inside centre. Currently, he plays on the Welsh team at inside centre. His duties there include long range penalty kicks, including the winning kick against England which was the start of a Wales Grand Slam of wins in the European Championship in 2005. In April 2005, Gavin was selected for the British and Irish Lions tour of New Zealand.
