Indiana's fiction is unambiguously queer. Polished, thought-provoking and satirical in direction, it is preoccupied with current affairs - Three Month Fever addresses the killing of Gianni Versace, while the novel Resentment fictionalizes the murders committed by Lyle and Erik Menendez - yet it also confronts timeless issuse of masculinity and taboo. Indiana is an extreme and daring writer, a unique voice who may nonetheless be affiliated with Dennis Cooper and Bret Easton Ellis.
