Gargantuas
The Gargantuas are two giant hairy humanoids from Inishiro Honda's 1966 daikaiju film Furankenshutain no kaij?: Sanda tai Gaira, or War of the Gargantuas. These creatures are found on the same island that gave birth to the kaiju version of Frankenstein in Honda's earlier film Furankenshutain tai chitei kaij? Baragon (Frankenstein Conquers the World), and the similar titles would seem to indicate that the Gargantuas are somehow descended from the Frankenstein that was destroyed in the first film. The two Gargantuas are brothers -- one green-haired and violent, the other brown-haired and friendly. The two wage battle across the Japanese countryside until both are presumably destroyed by a napalm attack. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
