Gail Fisher
Gail Fisher (born August 18, 1935 in Orange, New Jersey; died December 2, 2000 in Culver City, California) was an African American actress, best known for her role as secretary "Peggy Fair" on the television detective series Mannix, which she played from 1968 to 1975.

In 1970, Fisher became the first black performer to win an Emmy Award when she won the award for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series.

After her role on Mannix, she largely retired from acting, save for bit roles in a few other projects. She died of kidney failure and emphysema brought on by heavy smoking in 2000 at the age of 65.
