G.I. Jane
G.I. Jane is a 1997 action movie that tells the fictitious story of the first woman to become a United States Navy SEAL. In reality, women cannot enter SEALs training.
Plot
Demi Moore plays Lt. O'Neil, a naval intelligence officer who is picked to undergo certain special forces training involving a combination of Navy SEALs and Marine Force Recon training. Viggo Mortensen plays the unforgiving head instructor, a Master Chief who spends his time reading poetry and scuba diving in between kicking trainees into shape. The plot mostly revolves around the instructors beating the candidates, with a secondary plot about senators and the closing of bases coming in so often, only to flash back to Demi Moore doing push-ups and never giving up, even when her male counterparts want to.
