Funkstar De Luxe
Funkstar De Luxe is the stage name of house music producer and remixer Martin Otteson from Denmark. In 1999 and 2000 he had several hits that were reinterpretations of older, classic songs. Two remixes of his featured Bob Marley classics: Sun Is Shining (which hit #1 on the Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart) and Rainbow Country (#7). Otteson was the first producer to receive clearence from the Marley estate to release official remixes of the late singer's music (bootleg mixes of Marley tunes have circulated in the club world for years). These songs were officially credited to Bob Marley vs. Funkstar de Luxe.
