Fumio Niwa
Fumio Niwa (丹羽文雄 Niwa Fumio, born in 1904 in Mie Prefecture, Japan, died April 20, 2005) was a Japanese novelist with a long list of works, including The Buddha Tree.

The eldest son of a monk, Niwa became a monk after his graduation from Waseda University, but quit at a few years later, at the age of 29.
