Frito-Lay is a maker of corn and potato chips (or "crisps") and other snack foods. It is based in Plano, Texas, a suburb of the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex.

Frito-Lay was the result of the merger of the Frito Company and Atlanta-based H.W. Lay & Company in 1961. In 1965, a merger of Frito-Lay, Inc. and the Pepsi-Cola Company resulted in the formation of PepsiCo, Inc. Currently, PepsiCo operates the Frito-Lay Company, Tropicana Products and The Smith's Snackfood Company, along with the Pepsi-Cola Company.
