Frederick Dent Grant
Frederick Dent Grant (May 30, 1850 - April 12, 1912) was a soldier and U.S. minister to Austria.

Grant was the son of Ulysses S. Grant (eighteenth President of the United States) and Julia Boggs Dent. Born in St. Louis, Missouri, his early days were spent in places where his father was stationed. After his father's resignation from the army, the family lived in St. Louis and in Galena, Illinois.

Grant graduated from West Point Military Academy in 1871. During the Spanish-American War, he reached the rank of brigadier-general of the United States Army

In 1874, Grant married Ida Marie Honore (1854 - 1930) in Chicago. They had two children, Julia and Ulysses III. Grant died in New York City on April 12, 1912.
