Under his leadership, the company became one of the world's largest suppliers of sensors for aeronautic, automotive, and industrial applications. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Kavli has donated 100 million dollars to fund research institutions in the U.S. and the Netherlands. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Kavli intends to sponsor three new prizes for scientific achievements, starting in 2008.
