Frank Beamer
Frank Beamer (born October 18, 1946 in Mount Airy, North Carolina) is the current head coach of the Virginia Tech college football program. Having graduated from Virginia Tech in 1969, he has been the head football coach since 1987. He won consensus National Coach of the Year honors in 1999 and in 2004 was named the Atlantic Coast Conference Coach of the Year in his first year competing in the league. In 18 years at the helm of VT, his overall record is 135-77-2. His teams have made 11 consecutive bowl appearances.
