Fort Worth Zoological Park
The Fort Worth Zoo is a nationally ranked facility and was named one of the top 10 best zoos in the United States. It is home to 350 native and exotic species of animals. Founded in 1909, it is the oldest continuous zoo site in Texas. The Zoo is currently working with 35 endangered species in conjunction with the American Zoo and Aquarium Association's Species Survival Plans.

A recent addition to the zoo (2004) is a tropical bird enclosure that allows children and adults alike to walk in and hand feed a variety of colorful birds.
