Forster's Education Act
Forster's Education Act established guidelines which -on paper- granted the right to schooling to any male between the ages of 5 and 13. This rule was not always respected and would be more firmly enforced through later reforms, but what was effective was the provision in the Act that allowed greater control to the school officials that were experts in the field rather than the church, hoping this would bring improvements to the state of education.
