Most groups are primarily at their best with slow songs. On this album, Jodeci was no exception with songs like "Come and Talk To Me" and the title track "Forever My Lady". The entire flow of the album was stopped dead in its tracks with the fast songs which comprised of the second half of the album. Tracks like "My Phone", and "It's All Right" just were not up to par.

Overall, the album performed relatively well in its eighteen months on the Billboard 200 album chart. The album sold three million copies.
