Forbidden Love
Forbidden Love (also called "Honour Lost" in the United States) is a book written by Norma Khouri. It was allegedly a true story about her best friend in Jordan. The story describes her friend Dalia's love for a Christian soldier, which had been kept secret from Dalia's Muslim father due to conflict in religion. However, her father had eventually found out and consequently he stabbed Dalia, his own daughter, to death. The book shocked those who read it, captivating readers through such a personal and emotional account. However, after certain investigation, it was discovered that Khouri had fabricated the tale and that the story had never been more than a fictional novel.
