Flora Finch
Flora Finch (born June 17, 1869 in London, UK; died January 4, 1940 in Los Angeles, California) was an English-born film actress who starred in over 300 silents, including over 200 for the Vitagraph film company. She had her first film roles at the American Mutoscope and Biograph Company starting in 1908. There she worked with among others, Fatty Arbuckle, Mabel Normand, Mack Sennett and Charlie Chaplin. Startting in 1911 at Vitagraph she mainly starred in wildly popular short comedies (called by the public Bunnyfinches) with John Bunny. She tried setting up her own production company after Bunny died in 1915, but was never able to regain her popularity after, and spent the rest of her career in character roles and bit parts. She died in 1940 of a streptococcus infection. Most of her films (especially the silents) have been lost over the years.
