Flitwick is a small town in mid Bedfordshire, England. About 5 miles from the M1, Flitwick also has a station on the Thameslink line to London. Trains from Flitwick station go north to Bedford and south to Luton, Luton Airport Parkway, St Albans, London, Gatwick Airport and Brighton, which makes it a popular place to live, because many people will be able to commute into London.

Pronounced Flit-ick, the town is named after the nearby River Flit, which runs through Flitwick moor, a nature reserve and SSSI. Flitwick moor claims to be the first place in the world to bottle tonic water. It also used to be the site of much peat extraction.

Flitwick has a large Tesco superstore, three lower schools, a middle school, a skatepark, a doctors surgery, at least 5 play parks, a large industrial estate, and a wood.

It is famous for its manor, which is currently used as a hotel. The hotel is said to be haunted.

There is an open-air market every Friday selling local produce, which is set up on the car park of the village hall.
