Flat Rock, Michigan
Flat Rock is a city located in Wayne County, Michigan. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 8,488. Flat Rock is home to the AutoAlliance International manufacturing plant, co-owned by Ford Motor Company and Mazda Motor Corporation. As of 2005 it produces the Mazda Mazda6 and the 2005 Ford Mustang. Also Flat Rock is home to the famous short track Flat Rock Speedway.
Geography
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 17.6 km² (6.8 mi²). 17.4 km² (6.7 mi²) of it is land and 0.3 km² (0.1 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 1.47% water.
