Five Corners is the local name of an intersection of five streets in the Ironbound section of Newark, New Jersey.

This is the location, in Steven Spielberg's 2005 film remake of War of the Worlds, where the alien tripods are first revealed, by breaking through and rising over the street, as a large crowd of people watches, including Tom Cruise. The tripod then kills many of those people, before walking off.
