Fish (television)
In the USA, Fish was a spinoff of the television series Barney Miller. It starred Abe Vigoda as Detective Phil Fish and Florence Stanley as his wife Bernice. For a while, the character of Phil Fish continued to appear on Barney Miller as Vigoda headlined this program.

In the series, Fish and Bernice became foster parents to five racially-mixed children known as "Persons in Need of Supervision", or PINS. The kids were played by Todd Bridges, Denise Miller, Len Bari, John Cassisi and Sarah Natoli.

Eventually, Fish left Barney Miller altogether, and his character retired from the New York Police Department.
