First Kid
First Kid is a motion picture from Walt Disney Pictures released in 1996. It was directed by David Mickey Evans, the director of Sandlot. It stars Sinbad as Sammy Simms and Brock Pierce as Luke Davenport, the son of Paul and Linda Davenport. Sammy Simms is a Secret Service agent assigned to protect President Paul Davenport's 13-year-old rebellious son Luke Davenport. A snake came into the President's party and the scream caused the party to crash. Luke Davenport was punished twice in the film, but escaped the punishments. Sammy Simms taught Luke Davenport how to fight, and he was a former boxing champion. As a boxing champion, he won a boxing match against Willie Fox. His father died in a war, when Sammy Simms was Luke Davenport's age, before the motion picture took place, and his mother had to work two jobs to provide for him. Therefore, Sammy Simms was always by himself as a teenager. A school dance took place during the film, but at the end of the dance scene, Luke Davenport got into a fight with a bully (Zachary Ty Bryan) and as a result, Luke was placed under house arrest by his parents. Sammy Simms was also dismissed from his Secret Service job. The tracking device was placed on his wrist, rather than his ankle as is done in real life. Through a chat room, he used an online friend to assist him in removing the tracking device and putting it on the dog. Sammy Simms saved him, but was shot in the arm in the process. At the end of the film, Luke Davenport was relieved of his last punishment.
