Fill may refer to:

- In civil engineering, a fill is an artificial ridge or dam of earth or gravel constructed to support a prepared right-of-way such as a railroad or highway across a valley or depression.
- In graphic art, a fill is a color, pattern, or texture used to cover the area inside a boundary. Most graphic software includes a fill tool (also called a "paint bucket tool").
- In popular music, a fill is a short segment of instrumental music that fills the pauses between phrases or sections of a vocalist or other lead instrument, such as a drum fill.
- In textiles, the fill or filling yarn is the same as weft, the yarn which is shuttled back and forth across the warp to create a woven fabric
:A Cut is the opposite: a wide V shaped 'trench' through a hill or higher part. For efficiency the aim is to balance the earth volumes from the cut and fill. See also: earthworks (engineering).
