Fecal Matter

Fecal Matter was a band formed in late 1985. The band consisted of Kurt Cobain (Guitar/Vocals), Dale Crover (Bass), Greg Hokanson (Drums). This was Cobain's first rock band. After Hokanson left the band, Cobain and Crover went to the house of Cobain's aunt in Seattle, Washington and recorded a 16-song demo on a 4-track in December of 1985. Crover played bass and drums on the demo. Fecal Matter disbanded in 1986 with Buzz Osborne on bass and Mike Dillard on drums, according to Michael Azerrads Come As You Are: The Story of Nirvana because Cobain thought Osborne did not take the band serious enough, as Osborne refused to buy a bass guitar amplifier.
