Faster Pussycat
Faster Pussycat is a Los Angeles hair metal band formed in the 1980s and named for the 1965 film Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill!. Their first album, Faster Pussycat, was released in 1987. The band hit their high point in 1989 with their second album, Wake Me When It's Over with its hit ballad, "House of Pain", which went gold. When grunge took over in popularity in 1991, Faster Pussycat fell off the map as the genre of hair metal quickly went out of style, though they did release their third album Whipped!, which features backing vocals by Bekka Bramlett.
