Far Eastern Economic Review

Far Eastern Economic Review (FEER, 遠東經濟評論) is unusual among English language Asian news magazines since it was founded and developed entirely in Asia. It is a Hong Kong-based business magazine originally published weekly on every Thursday. Due to financial difficulties, the magazine switched to a monthly publication, beginning from December 2004. The magazine is owned by US-based business publisher Dow Jones & Company and The Wall Street Journal. Concurrent with the change in format, Hugo Restall, previously with the Asian Wall Street Journal, will serve as the new chief editor of the magazine.
