"Fan Mail" is track number 1 from the 1978 album Plastic Letters by Blondie. It is a good opener to the album, and you can hear how the production and writing has progressed since the d?but album. It is about Debbie Harry being over-obsessed with a star and writing constant fan mail, to them, without eating or sleeping. Like a lot of the songs on this album, slightly disturbing, but still very good. This was not released as a single, nor was it used as a B-side. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

It contained two top ten singles, and was the last album to be produced by Richard Gottehrer. The opening track, "Fan Mail", is an uptempo song about an obsessive fan writing to their idol.
