Fairfield, Connecticut
Fairfield is a town located in Fairfield County, Connecticut, about five miles southwest of Bridgeport on the Gold Coast of Connecticut. As of the 2000 census, the town had a total population of 57,340.

Fairfield is home to Fairfield University, Sacred Heart University and the headquarters of General Electric and R.C. Bigelow. It considered itself the "dogwood capital of the world" and is the birthplace of people such as Henry Fairfield Osborn, Meg Ryan, and Franco Ventriglia.
