Extreme poverty
Extreme poverty is a severe state of poverty in which people are unable to purchase even basic human necessities, such as food, clothes, and shelter.

Extreme poverty is characterised by lack of food, inadequate shelter (in some cases, no shelter), lack of health care or medical services, etc. A person living in extreme poverty may be suffering from hunger, malnutrition, and disease.
